Spike in “accidental” deaths driven by motor vehicle fatalities

NSC analysis indicates “accidental” deaths are now the third leading cause of fatalities in the U.S.

Based on its data, NSC said an American is accidentally injured every second and killed every three minutes by a “preventable” event, such as a drug overdose, a motor vehicle crash, a fall, a drowning, a choking incident or another preventable incident.

Truckstop group highlights efforts to combat human trafficking

Move comes as legislation develops to give federal and state law enforcement more tools to fight trafficking.  Truckstop and travel center operators this detailed the efforts they are undertaking to help fight human trafficking across the country on Capitol Hill, as Congress seeks to pass legislation that would provide state and federal law enforcement agencies with more “tools” to fight this crime.
